WhitsundayTransit bus timetables
If you are looking for affordable transport and need to meet a dead line eg: flights and ferry’s or just simply want to cruise around and look at this beautiful place we call the Whitsundays, the Whitsunday transit busses will get you there and run regularly and to a time table, which we have provided below.
To catch a Whitsunday transit bus, simply look at the map also provided, indicating the route for which the busses take and find a bus stop/shelter on that route that is closest to you.
Wait at the bus stop/ shelter until you see a Whitsunday transit bus coming toward you.( Whitsunday Transit is written clearly on the front of the bus) Stand where the bus driver can see you and extend one hand out from your body to indicate to the bus driver that he/ she needs to stop for you.
When the bus stops, stand aside to allow passengers to disembark the bus. Once the door way is clear, board the bus and tell the bus driver of your destination, if you are unsure of where you should get off, simply asks the bus driver to drop you off at the closest bus stop to your destination
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The Whitsunday Transit bus time table changes from time to time and in accordance with changes in arrivals for flights and ferry’s, so it is wise to watch for any unforeseen changes in the time tables on our site to ensure you meet your dead line
In Australia we drive on the left hand side, so when catching a bus please remember to stand at a bus stop/shelter on the left hand side facing the direction you are heading.
Prices will vary according to the distance in which you are travelling
If you are young and physically able and there are no seats available please stand to make room for the elderly, pregnant woman or parents with babies/ small children and the not so physically able
It’s always nice to thank the bus driver for your trip as he is one of the wonderful locals that you will meet that make the Whitsundays what they are and run like clockwork to make your holiday experience a fantastic one
ABOVE ALL ELSE ....SMILE! : ) and have a wonderful day in the Whitsundays
