Based at the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour, Skydive Airlie Beach is 5 minutes from the centre of the town, and with free local pickup, anyone over the age of 14 can jump, so why not! Pass over Conway National Park and the famous Whitsunday Islands, Airlie Beach and Whitehaven Beach. Of course, the Great Barrier Reef will also fly by before it's time to take the plunge, the doors open and you're off. This is when you will experience the wind in your hair, and the rest of your body for that matter. This is it, from this moment you can see the whole of the Whitsundays, and will continue to do so until you land. The higher you jump, the longer the free fall (that can be decided on the day or in advance). Free falling can last from 20 seconds to 55 seconds before you pull the cord and your parachute opens, then, it's an incredible glide down to earth for the rest of the 8,000 to 14,000 feet.
