What services does Gecko Sailing Whitsundays provide?

Gecko Sailing Whitsundays offers a hire and sail yourself yacht charter option from a single day to as many days as you choose. We can also provide the option of having a qualified sail guide on board with you to assist in sailing advise, and local knowledge on the area and water ways.

There are many beautiful locations within reach of a one day hire which provide excellent snorkelling, or a island resorts, where you can visit and enjoy the resort facilities between a morning and afternoon sail.

If you are hiring for two days or more, then the Whitsundays is yours to enjoy as you wish, or our experienced team can assist you in suggesting a suitable itinerary based on the forecast conditions, places you wish to visit, and things you enjoy doing whether it be bush walking, visiting Aboriginal rock drawings, or snorkelling and swimming.

What a day trip aboard Gecko could include?

- A visit to popular snorkelling spot, Blue Pearl Bay, whose calm waters make it a great starting point for some amazing snorkelling sights.

Or- The coral-and-sand spit, Langford Reef is a much sought after site for snorkelling and beach lovers. You must surely have spotted it in the promotional films on the Whitsundays.

Or- Daydream Island, which sailing enthusiasts make a point of visiting, and indulge in fun activities like coral viewing, parasailing, scuba-diving and jet-skiing, among others.

Or- Long Island, a diverse 9 km long island comprising lush flora and fauna, National Park walking tracks, and fringing coral reefs.

Why not visit one of our pride and joys, Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island, with its talcum powder like, 99% pure White silica sands and crystal clear coral seas lapping at its shores and voted the worlds No1 eco beach. You could take a picnic lunch and eat on the beach while you are there, don’t forget to sink your toes into the incredible sand and why not take the track to the lookout, where you can take in the breathtaking views of the full length of Whitehaven beach, Hill Inlet and other Whitsunday isles

You could sail close to HAYMAN island, Australia’s first 5 star island resort, coveted by many a famous name, why not ring ahead, to see if there is availability to step foot on this famous island for a day to have a scrumptious lunch and then head back to the luxury of your own yacht.

You could also sail around many of the Charter friendly shores of the Whitsunday islands, like Hamilton island, where you can experience world class golfing, unlimited water sports, night life and resort pools with bar and check out their small, but friendly Australian native animal zoo, to uninhabited islands, teaming with natural flora and fauna, where you could be the only person on the entire island.
