Directions to Mangrove Jacks
For a meal at a social vibrant restaurant look no further than Airlie Beach's Mangrove Jacks for famous pizzas, lively atmosphere and alfresco dining.
Mangrove Jacks does boast a full menu of pastas, risottos, salads and juicy big Australian steaks but it's probably the pizza you will go there for. Recognised by locals and tourists alike as having some of the best pizza in Australia the choices alone are a mouth watering challenge.
All the pizzas on the menu are wonderfully cooked in wood fired ovens and a popular favourite is the Chicken and Brie pizza with a rosemary and red currant base Spanish onions, mushrooms, and avocado toppings. Or, try the Carbonara Grin with a delectable creamy carbonara base with chicken breast, crispy bacon, mushrooms and parmesan.
Mangrove Jacks serve infinitely huge portions so this is the place to go for a big eat with a group. If you think a large sized pizza isn't enough for you then man up to take on the biggest pizza challenge around. The 'Battle the Beast' challenge pits you against an 18 inch monster pizza weighing in at over two kilos and stuffed with lashings of beef, pepperoni, ham, cheese and onion. To the victor the spoils, with a victory t-shirt, your name on the wall, the pizza for free, but most importantly you will earn big bragging rights.
A visit to Mangrove Jacks is perfect for families, backpackers and a boy's night out. The emphasis on comfort food classics like fish and chips and wood fired pizzas make this restaurant a cosy locals favourite it's no surprise that Mangrove Jacks was voted the 'Best Café Bistro' by the Queensland Hotels Association.
