Embark on an extraordinary journey into the wild! Experience an incredibly remote side of the Otago Peninsula and see an abundance of wildlife in their natural habitats from one of the most beautiful coastal headlands and beaches in New Zealand. Our pick up point is at the Octagon, Central Dunedin - in front of the Dunedin I-Site Visitor Information Centre. One of our experienced and knowledgeable guides will arrive to greet you, and your journey begins! We travel past some of Dunedin's most beautiful architecture as we leave the city and then take a stop to look over the Otago Harbor with panoramic views of Dunedin City and the Otago Peninsula. The journey to the Clearwater family farm at Cape Saunders takes you through the beautiful backcountry and inlets of the Otago Peninsula, where you will see a variety of native wading and wetland birds amid breathtaking scenery. Arrive at Cape Saunders at our private working farm and learn about our Clearwater farming history - dating back over six generations - on the Otago Peninsula. Experience a uniquely secluded breeding colony of New Zealand fur seals and their pups and a variety of sea birds, including albatross, from two stunning viewing locations overlooking the wild and rugged Pacific Ocean. Journey on to our native conservation reserve, where our knowledgeable and experienced staff will guide you to vital breeding grounds for yellow-eyed penguins and New Zealand sea lions. Witness and learn about this special place from several viewing hides and secluded locations while exploring one of New Zealand’s most beautiful and untouched natural beaches. After embarking on a spectacular wildlife experience and witnessing unforgettable vistas and breathtaking coastal beach and shore environments, we complete the journey back to your pickup location. Important Information

• The wildlife is untrained and unpredictable, and we cannot guarantee that you will see every species. However, we do guarantee we'll do everything we can to give you the best possible animal viewing. We travel the coast road and the back roads of the Otago Peninsula, and on our farm tracks at Cape Saunders, with a maximum of 10 guests per group. Our guides are experienced and are confident drivers, and our comfortable vehicles are all 4WD. We supply high-quality binoculars and spare wet-weather jackets. Toilet facilities are located at the farm. Tours are 4 hours in duration, so guests are welcome to bring pre-packed food and drink. There are no opportunities to stop for food or refreshments during our tours.
