City Cave Mackay
Whitsundays
At a glance
City Cave Mackay is a wellness centre in Rural View focused on relaxation, physical recovery and mental reset. Located on Carl Street, the centre serves Mackay and nearby communities including Bucasia, Shoal Point, Blacks Beach, Dolphin Heads, Glenella and Mount Pleasant. It also provides a wellness stop for travellers moving through the wider Whitsundays region.
The core services are float therapy, infrared sauna and massage. Float therapy takes place in water warmed to body temperature and enriched with Epsom salt, creating a buoyant setting designed to support deep relaxation and rest. Infrared sauna sessions use radiant heat rather than warming the surrounding air, with the service positioned around relaxation, detoxification, pain relief and reduced inflammation.
Massage appointments cover several needs, including remedial, sports, pregnancy and relaxation massage. Certain remedial massage appointments may be claimable through private health insurance when provided by an appropriately licensed therapist. The centre also offers red light therapy as an add-on to infrared sauna sessions, combining the sauna experience with targeted light wavelengths.
City Cave Mackay has a calm, restorative style rather than a social or entertainment-focused atmosphere. Services can be booked individually or combined into wellness packages pairing float therapy, infrared sauna and massage. Memberships and gift cards are also available, giving regular visitors and gift recipients different ways to access the treatments.
The setting suits people seeking time away from daily pressures, support after physical activity, a quieter recovery session or a structured approach to relaxation. Couples can access paired pricing for selected services, while massage options allow appointments to be tailored to relaxation, sport or remedial needs. The centre is open seven days, with appointments scheduled across the day and evening. Free onsite parking supports straightforward access from the surrounding Mackay area.
City Cave Mackay is located behind the Mobil petrol station on the main Eimeo Road, making the Rural View location convenient for residents of the northern suburbs and nearby coastal communities. Reservations, memberships, gift cards and package enquiries can be arranged through the centre.
