Set out from Melbourne for a full day along the Great Ocean Road, where dramatic coastline, native wildlife, rainforest and some of Australia's most famous natural landmarks come together in one unforgettable journey.

Throughout the day, hear the stories, history and local insights that bring the Great Ocean Road to life, from its surf culture and construction to the wildlife and shipwreck tales that shaped this coastline.
Begin on Victoria's Surf Coast near Torquay with complimentary morning tea by the beach. Continue to the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, where your guide shares the story behind one of Australia's most famous coastal drives.
As you follow the road between ocean and eucalyptus forest, keep watch for wild koalas resting in the trees and native birdlife along the way. Stop in the seaside town of Apollo Bay, where you'll have free time to purchase lunch and enjoy the relaxed coastal atmosphere.
The scenery then changes as you enter the Great Otway National Park. Follow your guide beneath towering trees and through lush fern-filled rainforest on a peaceful walk at Maits Rest.
In the afternoon, arrive at the spectacular Shipwreck Coast. See the world-famous 12 Apostles rising from the Southern Ocean, then explore Loch Ard Gorge as your guide shares the remarkable story of shipwreck and survival behind its name.
Depending on conditions and timing, additional scenic stops such as Gibson Steps may also be included.
After a short dinner break in Colac, relax on the return journey to Melbourne.
