Description
The original and best Moreton Island experience
Depart from Brisbane’s Holt Street Wharf for a scenic high-speed cruise across Moreton Bay. As the original Moreton Island operator with over 60 years of experience, we offer a seamless journey from city to sand with Australia’s most experienced marine crew.
Enjoy the 75-minute journey, with opportunities to spot dolphins or whales along the way, plus a complimentary beverage to kick off your island adventure.
Exclusive resort access
A key difference when you book with us is exclusive access to the private Tangalooma Island Resort. Enjoy full use of resort facilities throughout the day, with access to multiple swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a convenience store, showers and change rooms — giving you a comfortable tropical home base for your island escape.
Snorkel the iconic Tangalooma Wrecks
One of the highlights of your day is a guided snorkel tour of the world-famous Tangalooma Wrecks. These 15 sunken vessels form a vibrant reef, home to over 200 species of tropical fish and coral.
All snorkelling equipment is included, including mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit. Our experienced guides, supported by crew vessels for added safety, cater for all ability levels.
As the original operator on Moreton Island, we deliver a premier snorkelling experience, with the wrecks located directly adjacent to the Resort. Simply hop aboard our snorkel boat and be taken straight to the wrecks — no long swims required.
Participate in the Wild Dolphin Feeding Experience
Saving the best until last, take part in the world-famous Wild Dolphin Feeding Experience — an unforgettable highlight unique to Tangalooma.
Each evening at sunset, a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins enters the shallow waters for their nightly feed. This rare, ethically managed opportunity to encounter wild dolphins in their natural environment is a magical way to conclude your island adventure.
A full day of discovery
Enjoy a delicious lunch with a food voucher included, redeemable at your choice of resort outlets. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, enjoying a drink at the bar, or exploring beach vistas and tropical gardens. Visit the Eco Centre to learn about local marine life or join the Eco Rangers for wildlife encounters. Depending on the schedule, you might see kookaburra feeding or attend the Seabird talk. Our beach directly in front of the Resort was even voted by Lonely Planet as the best in the world to see nature!

On the rare occasion no dolphins visit, eligible guests will receive a return voucher (conditions apply)
- Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting wet for the dolphin feeding experience
- Return times vary seasonally to align with sunset. Departures from Moreton Island are approximately 7:00pm in winter, 7:30pm in autumn and spring, and 8:00pm in summer, with arrival in Brisbane around 75 minutes later
- For safety, guests are asked to advise of any medical conditions after booking. A medical certificate confirming fitness for snorkelling may be required for some conditions, and guests with asthma should bring their medication
