The 'Hot Rock' dining experience begins when the chef heats volcanic stones in extreme temperatures for over ten hours. Your meal is placed on the stones, which sears it, and then it's cooked by you, to perfection. Not only is this a fun night out it's also extremely healthy as all the nutrients and natural juices are locked in, with no need for oil. In this way you have complete control over how you like your meat cooked, of course the chef can cook it for you if you would prefer!

The dinner menu has a lot of other options than just the 'Hot Rock' with some sizzling starters and moreish mains such as the Confit pork belly & potatoes with a mustard poached apple sauce.

To complement the fantastic Airlie Beach weather the Village Café team also freeze the volcanic stones and serves up 'Icy Rock' desserts on them, the best way to enjoy ice-cream with dozens of flavours and choices of delectable sides.

Village Café is also a perfect choice for breakfast and lunchtime dining. Offering hangover curing classics like eggs Benedict, cinnamon dusted French toast and lunchtime fillers such as gourmet sandwiches and Caesar salad.
