Directions to Banjo's Bar and Bistro
A truly local hangout, Banjo's Bar and Bistro, or Banjo's Bar and Grill as it's also known, is one of those places where you immediately feel at home.
You can wear what you want, you can laugh and relax with friends, and there is one thing you'll definitely be assured of, and that's a superb meal that won't break the bank.
Take a table inside, or eat under the stars in the garden area, the service is still top notch. Open for lunch and dinner every day, Friday and Saturday nights are especially popular when local bands add to the atmosphere with live music. The menu offers everything from meaty steaks and fries to massive seafood platters full of prawns, oysters' kilpatrick, scallops, and salad, and whatever you choose it's all cooked to absolute perfection.
There's always something going on at Banjo's. There's music and a big screen TV, sometimes there's even a mechanical bull for budding cowboys. You may even get to meet an entrant into the UGLY bartender of the year; however, the UGLY bartender of the year is not what you are thinking.
UGLY stands for Understanding, Generous, Likeable, You, and it's a fundraiser for Queensland's Leukaemia Foundation. The state-wide fundraising competition gives big-hearted bartenders the opportunity to create wacky ideas, raise money, have fun with their customers all whilst raising awareness about the work of the Leukaemia Foundation. So, not only are all the staff at Banjo's extremely happy and helpful, some of them are UGLY too!
