Founded by the Romans, a powerful Abbey in the Middle Ages, and a thriving market town for centuries ever since. Explore the many independent stores, colourful lanes and impressive church. Enjoy a traditional lunch at an historic inn. Thereafter we continue our journey through the heart of the Cotswolds by visiting some picturesque, hand-picked villages and locations, which are deliberately kept secret. We will avoid the now overrun locations, which have been affected by mass tourism from London.
